SONO DIS is a ruggedized mobile display unit for the SONO WZ concrete probe and the SONO M1 and M2 aggregate probes, in a robust weatherproof aluminium housing rated IP67.
That compatibility is the point. A plant checking aggregate moisture at the stockpile and water content at the truck is doing two different jobs with two different probes — and one display.
Why the housing specification matters
IP67 means dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion. For an instrument that gets carried across a wet yard, set down on aggregate and used in the rain, that rating is not a marketing line — it is the difference between an instrument that lasts and one that fails in its first winter.
Aluminium rather than plastic housing follows the same logic. This is equipment that gets dropped.
What to buy it with
SONO DIS is supplied as a complete measuring case with the SONO WZ probe and a 12 V / 2 A plug-in power supply. If you already run an HD2 for aggregate work, the M1 and M2 probes will also run on a DIS, so a second display is usually only needed where two people need to measure at once.
